Tesla Q3 2026: 486,532 deliveries, 13.7 GWh of storage, no Semi figure

Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026, by The Duck Curve's arithmetic 2.1% fewer than the 497,099 of Q3 2025, the quarter Tesla's October 2, 2025 release called "a record for both deliveries and deployments," and it gave no figure for the Semi, a truck The Verge describes as in volume production as of April 2026. The production and deliveries release Tesla furnished to the SEC on October 2, 2026 puts production at 464,391 vehicles and energy storage deployments at 13.7 GWh. Model 3/Y accounted for 457,387 of the vehicles built and 478,237 of those delivered; the Other Models row held 7,004 and 8,295. Against Q2 2026, deliveries rose 1.3% from 480,126 and production 2.8% from 451,758; against Q3 2025, production rose 3.8% from 447,450. Deliveries exceeded production by 22,141 vehicles, against gaps of 28,368 in Q2 2026 and 49,649 in Q3 2025.

Storage came in at 13.7 GWh, 9.6% above the 12.5 GWh of Q3 2025. Tesla's Q2 2026 update of July 22, 2026 said "Our Energy Storage business returned to growth, achieving its second-best quarterly deployment number and record deployments on a trailing twelve-month basis." The same update's operational summary puts Q2 2026 at 13.5 GWh and Q4 2025 at 14.2 GWh, so 13.7 GWh sits between the two, second on an ordering that is The Duck Curve's. The Q3 2026 release carries no record language at all.

The Semi has been "in volume production as of April 2026," per The Verge as carried in The Duck Curve's coverage of the launch, and Tesla's own X post of September 24, 2026 said "Today, we're launching high volume production"; neither the Q2 2026 nor the Q3 2026 release carries a figure for it. Tesla's vehicle production and delivery numbers come in two rows, Model 3/Y and Other Models, and the Q3 2026 release scopes them in a sentence that is new since the Q2 2026 release: "Vehicle production and delivery numbers represent passenger vehicles sold to customers." Other Models production, 7,004, compares with 8,822 in Q2 2026 and 11,624 in Q3 2025, and the Q2 2026 update's capacity table lists the Nevada Tesla Semi row with no capacity figure and the status "Commissioning."

Tesla posts its Q3 2026 financial results after market close on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, with a webcast at 4:30 p.m. Central Time. The release says quarterly financial results depend on a variety of factors, including average selling price, cost of sales, foreign exchange movements and others to be disclosed in the 10-Q for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.
