  • Daikin recalls about 4,633 Amana through-the-wall units over fire hazard

    Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing is recalling about 4,633 Amana through-the-wall air conditioners and heat pumps in the US, plus about 126 in Canada, because a snubber circuit can emit flames if it shorts, the CPSC said on September 3, 2026. Five PB-prefixed models sold from April 2025 through June 2026 are covered; owners get a full refund after cutting the cord. It is Daikin's second Amana recall through the CPSC in 2026.
