Xcimer Energy finalizes up to $30.5M more from DOE fusion milestone program
Denver laser fusion developer Xcimer Energy said on October 6, 2026 that it finalized an agreement for up to $30.5 million in additional funding from the Department of Energy's Milestone-Based Fusion Development Program, bringing its potential milestone payments to $39.5 million. The payments come only as pre-agreed milestones are completed and independently verified.
