DOE picks 63 tribe-led energy projects for over $125 million
The US Department of Energy's Office of Indian Energy selected 63 tribe-led projects in 16 states for award negotiations on October 22, 2026, for over $125 million, against a funding notice that sought applications for up to $50 million. Thirteen deployment projects, including Alaska hydroelectric and power plants, account for $70.1 million of the $137.2 million in federal funds requested on DOE's list, by The Duck Curve's sum.
